Fall in Philly

I miss my bangs! Sorry...this is the new do' guys, bangs are hard to maintain! But anyway, this is fall in Philly! One of the parks where Irene and I love to shoot. I did a lot of layering in this outfit. Everything I got was on sale and no more than $30 on each item. The bag was a birthday gift from my mom which I absolutely adore now because it's a messenger bag and a clutch and purse all in one. Urban Outfitters has really great deals on bags if you dig though the clearance, which is also where I found my booties for only $20 originally $69! The scarf my favorite accessory here is a Burberry Knockoff I think from DSW and it's my moms....good eye mom. The print fooled me and a few high-end fashionistas and I would die a thousand deaths before I pay hundred of dollars for the real thing if a replica is available. 

I encourage anyone to bargain hunt and always check the clearance racks! I do real looks for real women, and sorry uptight fashion bloggers but I don't see the point of some your blogs meant to share looks and insights when you feature $1000 shoes....not practical and definitely not made for the everyday girl you claim to be. Hi-lo fashion is the key.

Hey guys! We have another guest male today!This is Eric my other little brother (I have 4 haha!). Do you ladies think he looks like Nick Jonas? But anyways Eric likes to dress more casual than Jonathan and sports more laid back looks. I always "borrow" his cardigan because I swear it's lined with the fur of heaven. I call it the cloud nine cardigan. Eric is a little camera shy but still very excited to be on the blog and hear feedback.

Hey guys, my hair is curly! These are my natural curls which is a rare sight. We shot this in my backyard. I like the muted fall colors and the vines. I recently went through my mom's old jewelry and found her old Rolex. Timepieces are making a comeback and this was very small and not too flashy. So fall is beginning and my favorite season, not just because the best people are born in October ;) *cough cough* but because I can wear booties and a light shirt and layer. Hopefully things we will see soon in posts. As you can tell I wear this ring a lot. It is my favorite piece of jewelry given to me by an ex lover sadly but nonetheless a work of art. Since I get asked where I got it from, it was handmade in New York by a street vendor. I picked out my own stone and color wire and voila!  A lot of my jewelry is handmade and not expensive. I like jewelry with a story and meaning and a uniqueness because I know no one has the exact ring as I do. I miss NYC and hope to make a trip there again soon for the best off-beat street finds.  Our male guest model aka my little brother Jonathan is making his style appearance once again on SWS! You ladies showed him much love and he appreciated it so much. So from him to me to our followers Jon says.... well rather smiles a big cheesey smile of "Thankssss guys!".

Jon's number one tip for dressing is not to focus on what matches necessarily, but more of "what pieces compliment each other to little degrees enough to make an overall bold statement."

A Little Piece

I thrifted this corset from a used clothing store for only $15 the original price was around $70. It sucks everything in - EVERYTHING. The corset was very structured so I left jewelry to a minimal point on only highlighted small delicate areas that people tend to overlook; the back of hands and ears.
